Writing about music is dumb. But let's step back a second: people wouldn't write about music if it didn't have such a strong impact. And while we could come up with a definitive list of good songs, sad songs, songs about this or that topic, we feel that in the awesome shadow of our subject matter, we must abdicate supposed authority (of which we have none) and let the readers decide. You matter much more than us.
So hello, what songs make you cry? It needn't make you cry every time, or even get you choked up, but it should have some special emotional resonance for you which other songs don't have. We'd like to know.
