Biography

Brenda López is in and from San Antonio. She started drawing "as soon as I could." Comic art and illustration make her "super happy" as well as low-brow art. Currently she's working on a comic which may or may not happen with the working title "Lonesome Town".

Lopez's art is remarkable for its realism and emotional clarity. Above all, it's fun to look at. She can evoke an entire generational Weltanschauung with a few lines of a brush &mdash and hold the viewer's interest. That's no small feat!
